Cardboard iron man build advice

Hey everyone

just a quick question

i have built a mk7 suit in cardboard and I have resined it inside and out and added 2/3 layers of fiberglass woven cloth on the inside.
Around the chest and abs, it still has abit of flex to it if I try and squash it. I fear if I add bondo to the outside of the suit now, it might crack easily in the future as it can still flex.

is there anything I should do to make it completely rigid?? Do I add more layers of cloth? Or shall I use fiberglass chop strand mats?
or should I buy some polyurethane resin and give the inside of the suit a couple of layers??

I just want to make sure its definitely strong enough and has a very small chance of cracking in the future before I go any further. Don't fancy doing this again :p

thanks

If anything you can add another layer of cloth to the back for insurance, but otherwise you should be ok. It'll more protect you from accidental flexing (pieces getting sat on, crushed, etc.), and it will help reinforce your skimmed bondo later. Good luck!

Thanks leallee

ive just added another layer of cloth and it's still got abit of movement when I push against it.
I don't know how many more layer I should add as I don't want to just keep adding it on and ending up way too heavy and thick.
