Captin America SHEILD MADE OF 2X4'S.

Hi everyone! I have been working on this shield for about a month. Still some detail work to be done. It is made of 7 construction grade lumber. The last few details are the straps for the back and a high gloss lacker for the front.

Wow this is unique, the woodgrain looks really cool too. How many 2x4s did it take?

It took 7 I riped them down and then carved it into a dome.

help with captain america shield

| am making a captain America shield out of 2x4's. I have got a long way but looking for some advise on what to do for the straps on the back.

Not yet still haven't decided. Thinking of just doing 2 leather straps attached with a bolt or screw.

The way it is made it wouldnt need glass. It has a finish on it that protects it from damage. Thank you for the idea.
