Apparently they took him out of the clone vat a bit early, which is why he had a head start on the other clones.
I bought the armor rough trimmed, so for two weeks after work I cut out everything, velcroed the heck out of it, and sewed straps. I painted all the parts and added pinstripe tape to add details. The knees and legs are one piece, as are the arms and elbows, for example. The pinstripe tape makes them stand out like separate parts. The helmet has a tinted visor I made and screened vents at the mouth area. I used a range finder I had sitting around from an old Don Post Fett helmet. I cut belt boxes and holsters from wood and added them to the belt. The shoes were black dress shoes on clearance at Sears for $5. I used primer to make them white and added vinyl lace covers. The pauldron is more "accurate" (if you can say that about a cartoon item) than a lot of pauldrons I've seen on adult suits, I think. Black leather with hard plastic armor pieces with a thick shoulder piece and a second level of plastic on top of that. I picked up the guns at the dollar store. I just painted them black.
I probably spent more time working on this than my own TK armor. Thankfully he kept it on for most of the night (less than helmet). He refused to have photos take of him on the street without putting the helmet on, though.
At the same time I was working on that, I was sewing my daughter's Padme costume. I better start working on next year's suit now!
