Captain Jack Harkness Earpiece [Torchwood]

Does anyone recognize the ear wrap from Nick's photo? I swear I've seen that before at work.

I had an old (wired) phone headset that had one that looked just like that ear loop.

I had seen a set of looped earphones at the dollar store the other day that looked almost dead on

I wish I had seen this thread earlier, I could have saved some stress. I used that headset at work up to about half a year ago.

You are the man Matt, part ordered :lol.
I think the cell phone headset I had was the same brand (and looked pretty much just like that).
I am going to autocad up the thing this weekend and scale it once the part arrives.

I think the silver one is cool as heck but I also liked the first one. I never knew it actually said TORCHWOOD on it until I found this.

It is sort of funny for an organization that is not supposed to "officially" exisit that they put there logo on all of there gear (guns, tasers, earpieces, laptops, etc...) :lol:lol:lol

Interesting. I found one that has a similar design along the top, but it doesn't look quite right after that. Check out the four cuts along the ridge of this one:

Found this one too. Same four lines on the top, but the body shape doesn't seem quite right. I'm not sure how much of the one in the pic is plant-on, and how much is original. I'm guessing the extension that has "Torchwood" written on it is the only mod.

Boom. I believe it's the Jabra BT250v headset. Jabra makes a couple of headsets that are very similarly shaped, and I'm not sure if this model is the correct colors, but I'm pretty confident this is pretty much it.

Guess I'm on a roll today. I put together a quick blog post showing my thought process, if you're interested:

The Project Workbench: Second Torchwood/Harkness Earpiece Identified

Matt - Thanks for putting the link to the ear loop!! I ordered it as well and will compare comfort for the both. While canon is important to me, I would rather be comfortable if I'm going to wear this for 8+ hours @ a convention.

I'm in the process of sourcing the parts out of aluminum right now from hardware stores. I'm trying to get them all out of the box so no cutting is involved. I have only 1 more to go and when I'm done I will post a link with part numbers for everyone.

For LEDS if you are not the soldering type, I would go with an LED kit and toggle switch. Both can be found from Frys electronics.

Hey guys! semajarab and I had a casting day today and I molded one of his great earpieces for his Captain Jack costume.

His original piece was made from several pieces of metal and brass screws. There are some plastic pieces as well. While the originals are stronger, they are also heavier than the resin casts we pulled out.

I really want one but I don't know how to make any props. If any of you make enough to sell in the junkyard or ebay I'd definitely be interested.

Also, if any of you are interested in a TARDIS style Doctor Who bookshelf I'm working on that now. I'd be happy to share my specs when I'm done :D

If one of you can lead me in the right direction of how to build props like this that would be appreciated. I'm a complete newbie in every sense of the word. Jack is so awesome!
