I wanted to update the costume to be more like movie Haddock and he has a larger than life nose.
The final nose is going to be made in latexfoam.
So my friend and i first started to make a alginate mold of my nose...
It became very messy.
This first alginate cast we made we had to throw away.
The alginate was not behaving as the Youtube videos we watched. In those videos the alginate seems thicker from the beginning and less watery. People was able to use a brush to apply it. Anyone have any idea how to make it "thicker"
But we finally got the hang of it and was able to make a plaster mold.
I started sculpting the nose from pictures of the CG haddock and the 1:1 statue Weta is selling.
Here is the other plaster mold over the nose. Looking good
Fits perfect over the other mold
This is just a simple Latex cast of the nose to try the mold.
Test fitting
A quick Photoshop beard and color change of the nose. LOOKING GOOD :thumbsup
When the supply's arrives we are going to start cast the real nose.
