Rather than necro-thread, maybe just pm the OP.

You do realize that the last post in this thread is almost 2 years old? And it's not a FS thread or else it would have been in the JY.

Hope it isn't too late but here are a few observations.

1. The wings have a 3-step transition to them similar to the old style Air Force pins such as:

Note the top "rib" of the aviator pin may not be quite the same as the movie pin.

2. Note that the circle of the ring is not flat - there is a slight roundedness to it based on the way the beveled corners are picking up light.
