Based on numerous pictures I have seen, I would definitely say that there are two different shades of red on the suit and they are as you say. The abdominal stripes are more of a scarlet red color and the rubber details on the chest and other various pieces on the arms and legs are more of a darker red wine color. I think burgundy might be a little darker than you're wanting, but names of colors aren't always accurate, especially when it comes to fabrics.

The hot toys figure (as highly detailed as it is) is not the best thing to go off of for the pattern or colors.
 
I noticed that nobody has posted these pictures to this thread yet. These are by far the most high quality images of the suit yet. They've been an awesome help on my build.

Based on the first picture, I believe I was able to figure out a fabric that will work really well for the uniform.

Looking closer at things, we can see that the uniform is made of a fabric with a more "gridded" pattern.
For my own builds, I decided to go with a ponte fabric.

(please note that this is not a color fabric that I am using on my builds. This picture is for the purpose of showing the knit pattern in the fabric only)

These fabrics have various knit styles to them, but a lot of them have a gridded pattern to them that is very close to the one featured in the other pics.
 
After reading the entire thread I decided on ordering my Cordura. I've read the posts and looked at all of the pics but because of the lighting conditions, the blues and reds are hard to pick from the website (rockywoods). Are the blues Royal blue & Navy blue. Is the "red" Wine or Red? I wanted to triple check because the fabric isn't cheap.

Two other members posted the samples they purchased. But like I said, the lighting isn't helping. Thanks!

I went ahead and ordered swatches. Once I have them, I'll post them with different lighting conditions.

Excellent work Tripleasg!

May I ask how you did the "patch/embossed" detail? What did you put underneath it before sewing it? I'm about to start this suit and this detail is the only thing bothering me since it's all over the costume.

CosplaySky's AoU Cap suit is up, not perfect but probably the best option off the shelf thus far. Pulled the trigger on this and I should be getting it in a couple weeks. Off the bat I already can tell the gloves definitely need to be modified. I have kingsley's harness and belt which are of better quality than the CosplaySky ones.

I just found these online. I'm not recommending them for a costume but i think its pretty informative for the design.
