So I had plans on creating a Captain America helmet of my own. It got put on the back burner, as life happened and took me away from any and all projects. Now a year later I have finally gotten back to it. So here are some shots of my progress.
I had never used Monster Makers Clay before, and this was my result of my first project with it.
The cast came out decent but needed a lot of cleanup as my sculpting skills with the monster makers clay were not that great.
I then found out that it didn't fit my head, and that the mold had warped/shrunk slightly. So I had to do a hack job, cutting it first in half from ear to ear, to lengthen it from front to back. Then I had to cut down the center from brow to back, to widen it. Filling in the gaps with bondo.
