Caprica set design or atompunk noir

Hey I've been reading the forum off and on for the past year. I was just now inspired to actually post.

I am a huge BSG fan and loved Caprica, especially the look and feel of the show. The mix of modern and midcentury...a bit Matrix with Don Draper from Mad Men.

This being a drama set on a Earth like planet (Caprica) has anyone been inspired to mimic the look and feel of the show in your home? I almost wish I could find a interior design book on how to achieve Caprica in your living space. :confused

I just remodeled my kitchen to almost the same look and decor as Daniel Graystones' right down to the 24"x"24 marbled floor. I built my kitchen Island exactly as shown in the show. I have 12' celings and had to blast out 2 walls to have that 'open' look.

Oh, and welcome to the RPF

I love the look and feel of the sets, both BSG and Caprica. The combining of the old and the new.

Here is the painting from Graystone's lab. I cleaned it up a little and redrew the lines.

I do not have it in a higher res, took the image off the auction. Maybe they will sell it like they did the painting from Adama's quarters.

Best,

Welcome bud, I also love the set design from Carpica. I spent a week up North on the sets taken them down when we went to get all the props for the auctions, the sets are amazing! beautiful design, and they went all out, the Graystone estate was one set, fully functional. Im in love with the Future Noir design they came up with, I was going to actually bring down all the glass from the Graystone house for the auctions, dident get a chance to though.

O, and welcome :)
