So Caprica airs tonite, just starting a post to see what everyone thinks of the prequel series, I for one loved the mini series and can't wait to start this season!

The Caprica pilot was awesome. It started slowly, but did a nice job of stitching both series together.

They're screening the pilot back-to-back from 9-11 PM & 11-1 AM. Before that is Star Trek: First Contact, and before that they're screening a 2-hr long "Battlestar Galactica: The Plan." I never watched this - is this a movie or a documentary?

So the episode tonight is just a re run of the Caprica DVD?? If so, that really sucks. When they say "pilot" they mean the DVD? Someone confirm this.

I see the pilot "extended cut" on the Syfy channel website is available for streaming - are you *SURE* it's not what's airing tonight?
And again - is "The Plan" a movie or documentary? Will it help if I watch it before the Caprica pilot or does it not matter?

yea, kinda gets me too, all the previews there showing today say that its the series, but I looked at the descriptions too and I dunno, i've looked online and all i've read that it is the series premier tonite, I guess well see

As previously stated, The Plan is a two hour movie of the BSG series told from the Cylon POV.
And this first episode of a series is always called PILOT. It's the pilot episode.

I'm more interested in next week for the first new episode.
Of course they had to play the pilot first even though many of us have already seen it on DVD. The show wouldn't make sense without it.
