Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

While we've been in California for D23 we went to lunch with Jason from Initium today. After many years of talking to him over the phone we finally met in person. Really solid dude. Makes me even happier to be a part of the Initium family.

Not a bad idea, especially if your Optician can show you the lenses in action first.
I too, have held back on the ebay lenses for the same reasons.
I'm sceptical that the "very yellow" replacements can transition all the way through orange, to a golden dark brown like the original ambermatics.

Hopefully, when Pottz gets his vintage ambermatic lenses and can confirm the change in tints, we can clear up any doubts or concerns on the RB3029's.

I’m a she, Pottz as in Pepper lol. And I had to send the lenses back to the seller for a full refund, they were scratched who sells scratched lenses w/o warning?! I just bought a brand new pair of Ambermatics that are due to arrive this week but they look really yellow in the picture so I’ll have to see what they’re like in person, but the inside of the frames says amerbematics so I’m hopeful *fingers crossed*

I didn't even know that was a thing

I got mine directly from dita, you have to call them and they ship it. I bought my frames from them months ago. I went to San Fran because they have an official dita store there and they changed my lenses for free.

Yep, that's them, dark havana color code 086/EZ, should come with greenish grey slight mirror finish lenses.

I think there is only 3 colors anyway, gloss black, matt black & dark havana.

yesterday my plane was delayed so hanging around the airport I did something no one should ever do, I went to give a look to the sunglasses store. I ran into a pair of carrera that I didn't know, the carrera bound in red and gold. their kind of rdj look and the color combination struck me a bit so I bought them, maybe I'll change the grey lenses eventually since it's not my favourite lens color. moral of the story is, if your flight is delayed get some coffee and read a book.

Okay so I finally got the Ambermatic lenses. I was scared they’d be too yellow but they deff aren’t. As you can see via my pix they are yellowish indoors, but in the sun they totally look amberish. I’m happy with them and I think they’re the match. I’m going to take them to the Ray-Ban store by me to switch the lenses into my black outdoorsman II frames, after I remove the sweat bar.

I have both of these too but I never quite understood what the verdict was. So the screen accurate glasses are the dark Havana pair with the lens of the blonde Havanna pair??
Correct! I mean there's no way to know for sure but that's our best estimate. With tints unless we have the color code we have to eye it as close as we can taking into account lighting. Reflection and skin pigmentation.

Here's what the end result looks like
