I currently own a Les Baer Concept IV, i have owned norincos, kimbers and springfield armories. I've found they all have problems with one thing...cheap magazines. Get some Chip McCormick shooting star or Wilson mags, and 99% of your problems will dissappear. Tim

looks like a lesbaer lower with a springfield slide with a long barrel with a nockoff ar15 style supressor, the trigger it a wilson combat.other than that there are a handfull of errors with the gun starting with the mag release. but in reality the gun could be made by any custom shop, gunracer,chip mcormic,caspian,springfield,colt"when they were still doing custom work,wilson combat etc there are tons of shops who can do that work.

I say it's a Colt XSE with Kimber grips, it has the right sights. The difference with these is that the serrations in the slide are slanted rahter than straight. Or it is a completely custom gun, as suggested by the flash hider.

Its been months since I saw an XSE, but I think the front serrations are further forward than on the toy.

I actually kind of find this thread funny since you guys are arguing over a toy. It's going to be hard to ID the actual gun since he never draws it in the movie. Unless someone has additional reference photos that haven't been found yet, the only people who are going to know for sure are the prop masters.

Its a strange MSH though because its not rounded enough to be your standard rounded MSH, thats why I was assuming flat and just an effect of the photo or they didn't want 2 1911 pistol molds so they split the diffrence with a semi humped one.

Yea it'd be a really cool one to see built up, it makes my head hurt with the combo of things they've done with this pistol.

Front and Rear vertical cocking serations.

Standard Ejection port, not lowered and flared

M16 flash supressor

old GI style sites and Hammer

Stainless steel long trigger with lightning holes.

3 indents that I assume are meant to represent a rail.



For simplicity sake I hope you go for a Kimber Warrior a MEU-SOC clone Art

In this particular case, the toy is wrong and should not be taken as reference.
The gun has an skeleton hammer and the sight is different.

From all the models proposed, I´m with the Kimber Warrior theory.

I believe the grips were wrapped with the same dig camo tape the stunt shotgun was covered with but I could be wrong.

On the close up when Royce is going to grab the gun while warning Danny Trejo to calm down, you can see the tape chipping around the grip screw.

A slightly different model from the one recommended above by augofett.

It's like a Kimber warrior but take a look at the front and rear sights. They are like the ones on the 1911A1 Gov Model. The mainspring housing on the toy is sloped, the kimber is straight. I think someone already mentioned that the hammer is straight like the Colt Gov. The hammer is of course ported. Also, look at the magazine base. It is the flat type like on the original 1911A1, and doesn't have the bumper like the Kimber does or that Combat Wilson mags have. The bumper is meant to be used on a pistol grip with a magazine well on it. The barrel would be of course threaded in order to fit that flash hider but the flash hider is one for the M4A1 Colt Carbine. Seems like a fantasy fabrication.
To construct something like this, I would use the Colt Government Model. Find one with the rail on the frame, then just add the grips, hammer, threaded barrel, and flash hider. Go the airsoft route and search for Tokyo Marui. They have a Gas Blowback version and spring as well. At least they used to. Hope this helps.


P.S. IMO, Kimbers are definitely not the best custom 1911s out there. From experience, the stovepipe a lot, have improper feeding at times and are over-priced. They're nice, don't get me wrong but not the best.

Hmm, wondering what model you have been carrying, mine is a Pro Carry II and I have NEVER had a stove pipe or even a stoppage in the 3 years I have had mine. Might need to check your ammo.
