Can you ID this 1911 style .45 pistol?

Once again, working on my Royce costume from Predators.

This is HotToys version of Royce's M1911 style pistol.

Hot Toys is known for UBER accuracy, so this is as good as any resource to use as you never clearly see the pistol in the movie.

Now, there are a million 1911 style pistols out there and most think Royce's pistol is a Kimber Warrior.

If this 1/6 replica is even remotely accurate, that is not the case.

So, can you ID the actual maker of this pistol? I have seen a number that are close, but none that match.

Obviously the flash hider / compensator is a different search entirely.

I will say, they appear to have the hammer wrong as it seems Royce pistol has a skeletonized hammer.

there are several things wrong with that pistol.

but kimbers are the best custom 1911's out there.

for some reason the bottom link does not work.

i searched on google
kimber used in predators and the link is the first link that pops up on the search/

IMFDB seems to be having issues lately. I am all in favor of Kimbers but I really don't think that is what Royce is carrying.

The pictures provided above appear to be some type of toy/dummy gun. There are many things about the pictuer that should not be present on a genuine 1911 style auto.

The photos Art posted are of a 1/6 toy, but he's looking for help with identifying what the real gun (represented by the toy) could be.

It's a kimber warrior, with a kimber custom covert grip and USGI A1 Flash Suppressor on the front. I think.

cheerio

It's like a Kimber warrior but take a look at the front and rear sights. They are like the ones on the 1911A1 Gov Model. The mainspring housing on the toy is sloped, the kimber is straight. I think someone already mentioned that the hammer is straight like the Colt Gov. The hammer is of course ported. Also, look at the magazine base. It is the flat type like on the original 1911A1, and doesn't have the bumper like the Kimber does or that Combat Wilson mags have. The bumper is meant to be used on a pistol grip with a magazine well on it. The barrel would be of course threaded in order to fit that flash hider but the flash hider is one for the M4A1 Colt Carbine. Seems like a fantasy fabrication.
To construct something like this, I would use the Colt Government Model. Find one with the rail on the frame, then just add the grips, hammer, threaded barrel, and flash hider. Go the airsoft route and search for Tokyo Marui. They have a Gas Blowback version and spring as well. At least they used to. Hope this helps.

P.S. IMO, Kimbers are definitely not the best custom 1911s out there. From experience, the stovepipe a lot, have improper feeding at times and are over-priced. They're nice, don't get me wrong but not the best.

The toy is all over the place :lol It looks like a standard A1 with a rail and a M-16 style flash supressor...

I can't bring the pics up large enough on IMFDB to make it out, my guess just based on Royce being a SF soldier or a merc from the middle east would be a Warrior. Now that would be realistically, what they actually used could be darn near anything.

Just to throw my 5 cents in, the model pistol pictured looks like it's a kimber lower reciever [due to the cuts made where the slide sits] But the slide looks like a standard MEU slide as the cuts in the forefront of the slide arent the same as a standard kimber warrior.

however the hammer fits neither of these guns as they both use the delta hammer.

so guessing there's irregularities in the model pictured possibly?

I liked the one I used to own too, but calling it the "best custom" is a bit of an insult to folks like Les Baer and many other actual custom shops.

Can you get some screen caps? You could construct a custom gun with the limited referance the toy provides, several companies make similar styles and you could mix and match parts well enough to come up with something very close but, without some pics of the real deal, that's probably as close as it'll get.
