Can someone point me to some good generic hero suits (spandex etc.)

I'm looking for a plain red long sleeve stretchy shirt for my next costume project.

I know what I'm looking for is generally available, I'm just having trouble finding the right specific thing, and I'd love to know some tips and options for where to buy.

Before anyone gets annoyed with me for asking something so basic, I should say that I HAVE done some searches here, but the problem is that I can't think of search terms that aren't really general and I get flooded with results that aren't related to what I'm looking for.

To be specific, I'm not looking for a muscle suit. I plan on providing all the muscle myself... ladies.

Seriously though, just looking for something like an underarmour top. Actually, my old version IS an underarmour top. But they don't make too many in basic red anymore. And the underarmour one I have is not raglan cut (I want a raglan cut shirt where the seams go diagonally in from the armpits to the neck). Also, the underarmour shirt I have is a turtleneck which means it needed to be altered.

I went with the underarmour coldgear shirt since it was a bit thicker and gave a more superhero costume look than their thinner heatgear shirt. I did a search for a wetsuit top, but even the few I could find in red had other colors or white seams or something else like that that wasn't right. A wetsuit might be too hot anyway.

I think there are some superhero costuming forums out there that probably deal with this stuff, but my searches for superhero costuming keep turning up a bunch of bad halloween-type stores.

Thanks for your time and any advice on materials (in terms of comfort, quality, heat etc.) And no, I can't sew.

You might want to change to your search to be looking for a seamstress who makes dancewear local to you. I can definitely help you out with where to get some really nice and thick spandex. If this kind of thing is something you want to do often, having someone who can sew you exactly what you want is invaluable.

Nice quality and VERY inexpensive for custom work.

I had my Captain Avenger suit made there, which included a 2-color one-piece bodysuit with chest logo, trunks and lined cape for about $60, and a pair of booties and belt were thrown in (I replaced them with something more screen accurate, but still, its the thought that counts!)

Happy hunting!

Maggie at Cosfun has been around awhile and does a fair job. The quality seems to have gone down a little over the last year ...and communication is really lacking lately. (She said they had some holiday recently, but even before that she wasn't responding much) All that said, she's decent.

I've started using a new vendor http://www.cosplay365buy.com/ They actually have a rep on MSN chat and speak much better English. Quality is quite nice too.
