this wont help but I had to mention it did you notice how the hat "shrank" I fit rick then he gave it to his son and all off a sudden it was perfectly fitted to him .

The exact model for Rick is Stetson Roper Chocolate. Assuming that the hat Carl wears is the same Rick used, that´s the way to go. Stetson makes "twin" hats of the Roper, just different ribbon.
You may also find a cheaper lookalike.
The tough part is that you´ll have to torn pieces out of the brim and add a vent hole on the front. Good luck!
