Hey Guys,

Picked this up at the weekend, and although it looks familiar to me, possibly some kind of Glock???? I dont have a lot of knowledge when it comes to firearms. Is it based around a particular model, how exact is it.

The cool thing is, it actually has a cocking slide on it as well, so this will be getting painted up.

If this is based around a real world gun, can someone give me an ideas of movies which used the gun please?

Thanks for your help.

I think the grip of the I, Robot gun is deffinately based on the P99 design, but not exactly. Heavily influenced, or simply modded to not be a recast.
The firing prop was a 5-shot revolver in a 2-piece shell, if I recall?

The barrel/slide is longer than a standard P99 too. And as already pointed out, the P99 doesn't have a mag release button, but an ambidextrous lever. You can see the lever above. The button is where the lever pin would be.

Obtaining anything that even looks like a gun is getting so hard in the UK. A mixture of stupid kids and the press are mainly to blame. We suffer from a fear of guns that far outweighs its justification for the amount of crimes carried out with them.

I used to airsoft for several years and would buy a new BB gun every couple of years or so. Now I can't even do that without it being painted a bright colour or playing airsoft on a regular basis, and I just don't have the time to do that anymore.

Whilst I would never want to own a real gun, it annoys me that once again we all pay for the stupidity of a few. :angry

Agreed, if someone wants a gun to do wrong with, it doesn't matter which bans and laws are in place they will get one.

In fact there is a huge thread on this very discussion, talking about the violent crime reduction act and how it effects us in the UK. A very interesting read, however we have to remember that we live in the UK, governed by a shower or morons, who never think things through sensibly and properly. We'll just have to make do with what we have i'm afraid as no matter how loud we shout it will never alter anything.

The UK is no longer a democracy its a dictatorship........

But don't get me started............:lol LOL
