Camberwick Green and Trumpton

Interesting about the different versions of the motorbike, I didn't know that, the one that I got was just right. I am strictly analogue, so scratchbuilt the sidecar. The wheel was a challenge!

Well done in creating the sidecar wheel from scratch! Before I purchased the 3-D printer I was reckoning on having to buy a second motorcycle just to cannibalise it for a wheel.

Apart from the various colour schemes, I've come across 2 variants of the non-friction drive motorcycle builds. One has a very different way of mounting the wheels (top right). The fourth image below is of a much smaller US 'Renwal' motorcycle which seems to owe a lot to Coral for its styling.

That's interesting. I never saw the other versions. I got lucky first time I suppose. Mind you, any of the correct sized versions would've converted to do the job. Some of these toys seem to be incredibly rare to start with and then they did colour or design variations which doesn't help!

I’ve got a lot to catch up on here, the forum email notifications don’t appear to be working anymore-
All the vehicles you’ve shared look spot on Dave!

(I did have a guess at the chigley biscuit van a while ago, though I realised not long after that I was quite incorrect!)

Thank you, glad to see you back again - I thought you maybe steeped in Farmer Bell's mechanical digger mods. Hopefully your notifications are back up and running again now.

I’ve not even started thinking about modifying the digger (it barely fits onto my shelf as it is!)
the notifications do seem to be working again though

Visiting the Vintage Toy Shop in Leicester UK I spotted these cardboard build kits - not seen them before. Ideal for the collector that has to have it all. :)

Crumbs, that took me a while; the way the roof tapers over the cab made things rather trickier than I'd hoped for. I think even the original model makers might have regretted choosing this Marx truck to work with. As per the originals, I've made a removable rear door too (not shown). Also as per the originals, I've reluctantly left off the apostrophe in 'Cresswell's' on the van although they did remember to include it on the boxes!
BTW, I shouldn't have lacquered my bright chrome paintwork at the front, as that turned it a rather dull grey. I don't know how long the paint will stay on the front of the van as despite a good clean and sanding, it didn't adhere to the plastic particularly well.
Shots below of one of the two original vans, my e-Bay acquisition and my finished model.... I've just spotted the front of the roof and the top of the window aren't aligned on my model. Doh!

What's going to go on his caption roller?
I started that last spring when I replicated the same wording, font and quirky character spacing as shown in the programme for the start and end credits. One of the local radio stations have a 'Camberwick Green' quiz (of sorts) every day, so I thought I might do something customised for their Facebook page in the fullness of time if that doesn't fall foul of any copyright. I'm currently trying to create the clown but I've not got very far as you can see.
