C2E2 Chicago

Anyone want to lay bets on if Nicholas Brendan walks out on the con like he did here? ;)

On the upside, there look to be a couple decent novelists going.

im thinking bout going-- Train in from Geneva, taxi to McCormick no driving or parking. Wonder if they will let me on the train carrying Mjolnir or Thunderstrike????

On Metra? They have a bar car. I'm sure a giant hammer is nowhere near the weirdest thing they've seen. :)

I just saw this. Right in my backyard. Might have to dust off Han Solo. Do a lot of people dress or is it mostly collectors.

I'm definitely there all weekend. Went to Wizard World last year and had a blast.
So if this is cooler than that, I'm even more excited!

Hello,

My name is Janet. I'm new to this forum. I'm from near Chicago and will be attending Chicago C2E2 in April. This will be my first C2E2. I was hoping to talk to a few people who have been and hope to meet some.

getting set to head there now-- its 1130 in chitown. will be there around 2-3 this afternoon carrying Thunderstrike!!!!! if you see me stop and say Hi-- will be sporting a Hunters Lair shirt as well.

Oh man,
I was there all three days as well and it was a blast!!
I didn't want to leave, wish it was longer =] Can't wait til next year.
In the mean time, if any of you know of any cons in the midwestern area,
I'd love to know about them...

Chicago Comic-con is in August. It used to be Wizard World. However, it is much more an entertainment show now, and I hear it's not all that great (never been myself).

It's been more and more like a flea market with the occasional A-List guest and a lot of has beens. Last year was a cluster**** with the organization and crowd control for the panels. Particularly with the lines for the Felicia Day and Bruce Campbell panels that were forming and with the crowd leaving the Patrick Stewart panel AT THE SAME TIME.

Was at C2E2 on Saturday and had a blast. Next up is ACen!
