hi
sorry for possible repost
but my english isn´t that good
so i didn´t found the topic

i wanna make a resin copie of my e11 blaster
it´s a plastic/wooden blaster with some alu parts
not 100% screen accurate

should i make the silikon moulds from the whole blaster with all the parts?
or should i disassamble some parts?

what´s the best way?

You should dissamble if possible, if not you can make mold of each parts group and then assemble, but I think if you want to make only one copy you should better buy another e11, depending upon the cost of your e11 of course, silicon is expansive
hope this will help

thanks for reply
sure it´s a lil expensive
but i think i´ll do some more blasters
every a lil different with the greblies

a member of our german prop board said something about a material you can cast some items and reuse it for other molds
maybe it´s a good test

I've tried that stuff in the past - the kind you melt down then can reuse. It's not that great for props IMO and it really stinks the house out.

Agreed about the remeltable mold material, plus if any of your 'masters' are plastic the heat can melt/distort them.

I would see if it would not be cheaper and easier to just buy ready-made resin parts or a blaster kit from someone.

Otherwise, I would cast the folding stock and maybe also the magazine separately. You would otherwise have to fill large gaps with clay when making the silicone mold, that are tricky to trim away from the resin cast later.

btw. You've got PM.
