Wow, how did you get such clean cuts on the inside of the circles for that chestplate?

I started with circles from these little cups I have drawn onto the template. Then, after transferring it to the foam, I cut close to the line and then meticulously went back over it with my Dremel until it was as sharp as I could make it.

Do you do anything to strengthen the foam for the helmet?

I do many coats of glue. A mix of both white elmer's and wood glue. When I begin it's almost totally water and by the time I'm done with the many coats I've worked my way up to no water and the glue has almost totally permeated the foam, leaving a rigid piece.

Well here are some final pictures for this project. some imperfections, but I'm pretty happy overall. my one major regret is that a major piece of Rocket Raccoon failed and it had to be taken off before the premiere. In any case, enjoy!

Thought I might as well give one last update and say that I will be making a new thread for this particular costume of mine. I'm going to be re-doing quite a lot of the pieces with a greater measure of detail, and yet, still on a budget, so stay tuned!
