Budget (Rubies) Emperor Replica Cane on the Market

I found one for $15 and change, but no free shipping.
Any plans for a display stand?

Cutting out a 10x10 wooden square out of 3/4" wood. Beveled edge painting whole thing black and adding some type of silver 9x9 sheet or plexi cover for background. As for mounting using pegs to hold cane and rail to hold brooch.

Mine arrived and frankly, it feels cheap. Certainly not the worth the $28 bucks I spent. If Sears still has the free shipping, that's the way to go: this is a $15 dollar cane, not a $28 dollar one. Also, is 32" the screen accurate size? It seems a little small but I really can't tell...

The Master Replicas cane is just short of 39 inches. At least is this Rubies one solid?

No, this is hollow. I may end up returning it, but don't know that I want to go through the bother of getting a cheaper one.

Rubies on the left and Galaxy’s Edge on the right. The GE cane has a nice heft to it and a rubber tip on the bottom. Unfortunately it chips very easily

I wonder if you could cut the tip off the bottom to create an open end. Then shove a dowel rod up the center to make an extension. Then a little putty, sanding and paint. Not a perfect replica but a nice display piece.

I planned on doing something similar, and fill it with expanding spray foam, too. For now it's hanging on the rack with my lightsabers.

At that price you could just buy 2 of them, cut the lower part of one and then cut a short section a few inches out of the other one and epoxy in a threaded rod (for strength) and some putty to match up the cane sections you'be be good to go.

I bought this cane due to time restraints and wow. It's typical rubies garbage. And it's to short. I have to reach for it to touch the ground. I plan on lengthening it and painting it.

After the holidays, I might try to lengthen it with a dowel rod -- but what kind of putty do you guys recommend for filling in the gap? It would also have to take a gloss paint. I'd want to repaint the whole thing to make it look somewhat shiny.

I tried using the Rubie's cane as-is, and it's so short, my robes scrape on the ground if I stoop over far enough to make the cane work.

#annoying

Got my hands on one. Meh. It's exactly what you'd expect from Rubies for $20. It doesn't look that bad but it feels like garbage and unusable. So glad I got the Galaxy's Edge cane.
