BTTF2 Doc Brown Metal Sunglasses Finished

My firend has just gotten round to cutting me some steel blanks to size for these glasses, look for a limited run thread in the JY.

I bought a pair of the "rear view glasses" a few years ago off a auction site. The ones shown here are nicer. ;-)

They were not really sunglasses, at the beginning of BTTF2 he presses them closer to his head and mentions seeing something in the rear view. I would imagine they were something like a rear view mirror (which he had none on the DeLorean) except these were showing some sort of video display.

Looks great! Are you willing to make any more for sale?

There is now a limited interest thread up in the JY.

Good evening, everyone! I registered for this forum solely that I may contribute, as I saw a number of members requesting a flat pattern. Just in time for Halloween, I sought to make a pair of this fashionable eyewear for my own Doc Brown costume. A coworker's friend was kind enough to construct a pair according to a pattern I created last night.

"I apologize for the crudity of this model; I didn't have time to build it to scale or to paint it."
I admittedly don't know anything about construction materials, so you might have a better metal with which to work. Nevertheless, I'm pleased with this costume prop, and I offer my pattern to anyone whom it may benefit. Just print it at 300dpi; it's 16"x2.5". I'll also post it in two halves which can be printed on a single sheet and assembled.
