Hi,

Does anyone have the correct dimensions for Marty's BTTF 2 Mattel Hoverboard? From searching it seems to be either 28" x 8" or 24" x 8".

Also, if someone has the full size graphic for the top and the bottom as a high res file, that would be great.

Cheers,

John...

I think I have a vector image of the board that I found on some website some time ago...PM me your email address and I will send it.

My board is 8" x 28" and the maker supposedly had access to a screen-used piece. It also looks pretty dead on. I think 4 inches shorter would look too squatty.

The top pic is from the profiles catalog. The bottom one is mine. The grid is based on 8" wide. The diagram is from Beeb89's drawing. So definitely not 24" x 8". You have to account for lens distortion and angle.

Wow, great info guys, many thanks!

Now I just need to find the hologram stuff in the UK. Any ideas?

Cheers,

on your diagram you have some of it outside of the 8 inch square lines, but the actual hoverboard is completely within the lines... do you make the hoverboard wider? also, how long is the kicktail? do you know the measurement?

Wow, talk about a blast from the past! :lol

My layouts for the board are far from definitive, but I was and still am pretty happy with them, now just to make one! I've been collecting parts for a few years now.

Regarding my measurements, I need to go back and dig out my layouts and go over them again. I'm SURE they could use some refinement. :)

Any additional input or notes, Frank? I really like how yours turn out!

-B89! :D

I'm really sorry to bump an old thread, but thought itr was better than starting a new one. Does anybody know the ideal thickness for the board? I'm going to try to make it out of foamcore or something similar, and if I can get hold of some in the right thickness, it'd save a lot of annoying cutting and sanding!
