Well, I don't know if there is such a group. I mean, I know there was an official 1:1 scale Cylon Centurion made of the RIS BSG series (I've seen one in person). The closest I've know of is one club that builds various Movie and TV related robots (I don't know the name of the club or where they're located, but I've seen them at MegaCon a couple years back). But finding a specialize group for the RIS BSG Cylons, I can't say for certain one exists. Honestly, you'd more than likely find a lot more people constructing the TOS BSG Centurion.

The farthest I got in making TNS cylon was the head and neck with working eye sweep. I wanted to (and still do) make a full robot as well. I sort have lost interest because there is already one out there. But I'm back into the motivation to do one. It's all about the money which I don't have:cry

I'd love to see this come to fruition. Maybe the peeps who are getting the CNC machine in the jackyard would be up to the task of milling out the body parts... Just a thought!

I happen to know of a papercraft model for the TOS Cylon head. I can post the link if anyone thinks it'd be helpful in the Razor Cylon build (especially since I found a tutorial for scratch building that can easily be applied to how to take a paper model and turn it into a plastic model, though I don't know how well it'd work for the Cylon head).

I found a guy who has a nice original battlestar replica cylon he wants to sell. I will get that for my collection. Does anyone know where I can get a voice changer to sound like a cylon?
As for the new cylon looks like I will have to make it. Sculpt and cast out of fiberglass.

No problem. I figured it'd be a good starting point for a RIS BSG "Razor" Centurion, or at least another excellent TOS Centurion.
Also, if that tutorial for scratchbuilding I linked doesn't work out right, you may have to do the method used by fans to make "Halo" armor, like in this Backyard FX tutorial.
I have an artist that I commissioned to do a 1:1 'Razor' retro Cylon helmet. Once completed, I will offer a limited run of 10 cast in fiberglass. Shoot me a PM if your interested. Expect this by late Spring. This is a project I've been wanting to do for some time, and is a passion. Expect the best.
