BSG - Apollo's Pistol

Been away for a while, but I thought this was worth posting. I've been watching a lot of Battlestar Galactica and wasn't too impressed with their pistol design... that is until I saw Apollo's pistol in the scene below.

I loved the wooden grip. So I figured I'd draw up some quick vector files, based mostly off of this image:

A preview of the image is attached, with shading to show depth. The illustrator file will be added to my template roundup dropbox folder. Contact me if you'd like the original file.

Two notes:
The file is not yet sized correctly. The proportions should be correct, however.

Second, I'd like to add alternate views. If anyone can provide reference photos of any alternate views, I'll update the file with those.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I hope to get building this soon, I'll post updates here as I go along (assuming I don't get distracted once again).

Oh... and here's a great little resource, if it hasn't been posted elsewhere. It's Volpin detailing his blueprint process. I followed this process pretty closely.

This has been my favorite pistol ever since I saw the pilot wayyyy back (almost ten years already?). I'll be looking forward to this build man, it's on my list too

That pistol is amazing. I'd like to learn how to make some BSG pistols in the future for my BSG costume.

Not that I don't like it. I guess there was just nothing that really caught my eye until I saw this one.
