Breaking Bad

I've been watching breaking Bad since it was recommended to me as an odd little show about an middle aged man dealing with cancer and being somewhat finically hard off due his profession being not respected. What a journey we have all gone on with his Walter slow and horrible transformation into Heisenberg. We have seen the mans soul go black and Walters sense of ethics corrode to nothing, with Walter even disgusting himself.

What ever happens in the end , you know it will be terrible and great.

OMFG!!!! WTFBBQ!!!11!!!111one! I thought they cranked the gear to 10, but it's a 15!!! I never thought, he'd do it and totally caught me off-guard… I am just like jaw-dropping the whole time…

Someone clear it up for me. Spoiler about this weeks episode btw....

Why does Jesse know about Walter poisoning brock? Walter took the risen....then gave it back as though it was misplaced. I cant remember why Walt had the risen taken again. And why this would give it away to Jesse anything to do with the brock situation...?

Yeah as far as Jesse was concerned they found the ricin cigarette during the house clean up and Walt disposed it. It was not in his cigarette pack from the time Brock was in the hospital.

When Jesse was at Saul's office he kept his pot along with couple of joints in the plastic. He smoked one joint and had to put it out in the astray. He then kept the pot plastic in his pocket. That plastic got stolen from Jesse's jacket this time by Huell as he was heading out the door.

And while waiting for the van he realized about the pickpocket and the pot plastic being stolen. And then also came to the realization that, it was how they got his ricin cigarette the last time around. So he realized it was done per Walt's instructions to Saul.

Jesse already knows the actual poising was because of "Lily of the Valley" flower and not due to ricin, he also knows the fact that Gus was not involved in the poising.

But prior to that Jesse came on board to the idea of killing Gus, cause Jesse was manipulated into believing that Gus used his men to get the ricin from him to poison Brock. He now realized it was Walt who actually did that to get the ricin from him in the first place. Though Walt never actually used it and went with the flower instead.

And Walt got the ricin cigarette again so that Jesse could find it in his house and not be worried anymore about it falling in the wrong hands and someone getting hurt by it.

Truthfully, the ricin has been problematic for me. A lot of cover up and hassle for something walt could make more of.

It's the real chekov's gun

Whoopie dooooo, slow your roll Jesse. Really blaze one up just not the house. Ha

Jesse is way over reacting to it and needs to let it go.

It has nothing to do with the quantity. Walt could indeed create more of it. But what he needed was Jesse to think that he lost his personal ricin because of Gus. Hence the initial stealiing and then he made Jesse find it again so he could be back at ease.

I feel Jesse has been under reacting to Walt's BS for a long time. Walt deserves what's coming for him.

Team Jesse :cool.

then why is the ricin still important?

We've seen in the flashforwards that he even returns to his house to get it a year from now

I'm sure that question will be answered here shortly. Great episode. I'm still holding out hope that Walt will redeem himself somehow before this is all over, but after that crap he pulled with Walt Jr. and Jesse, it doesn't look good.

He came back for it probably to take someone down during the flash forward. Even though he can create more, he kept that last quantity as a backup for emergencies, in case he didn't get to access any labs and other chemicals.

Yes, being duped into killing your boss by a man who poisoned your girlfriend's little boy (shortly after realizing the same man had murdered another friend of yours) is nothing to get worked up about. Geez!

Killing your so called boss which held you captive and make you work in his drug cartel. Plus would kill you or those around you at any moment if you didn't do what he wanted. Plus he handed you over to the Mexicans for sleep over party. He was tricked into it cause Gus trusted / controlled him like a puppet over Walter. Gus knew Walter would kill he he got a chance. But wouldn't see it coming from Jesse. Both men ( Jesse n Walter) wanted their freedom Gus control. Thus cutting the head of the snake ended most of the problems as the cartel went into a spiral. The little kid was fine just as it was planned and it gave them the chance to take Gus out. If he is so heart broken about his girl friend n kid, why not go get them... Bottom line it was done with out his knowledge for the greater good. Wake up Jesse, you got used for a little while. Everyone is used at one point or Another.

At the point where Walt decided to poison the kid, Jesse was willingly working for Gus. He had had plenty of opportunities to kill Gus and chose not to. Walt manipulated Jesse into thinking Gus was a child murderer when in fact he was the one putting the kid at risk. And yes, the kid ended up fine, but it wasn't certain that he would. Walt took a calculated risk and got lucky that the kid didn't die. He used the flowers instead of the ricin because it was less likely to kill the kid. Walt did these things because he didn't have a legitimate reason for Jesse to turn on Gus. By then Jesse had seen that Gus was someone who took care of those loyal to him. If Jesse had really been as scared of him as you say, then Walt wouldn't have had to"convince" him of anything. It wasn't for anyone's greater good but Walt's. Then we go to Mike - someone who, again, proved to Jesse that he took care of people loyal to him (and had saved him from being blown away by a sniper). Somebody that Walt chose to kill instead of just paying everyone off like he easily could have. Jesse's life is destroyed, and all this information clicked in his head right when he was at his lowest.

Sure, say it's his own fault for allowing himself to be manipulated, but saying "needs to let it go" is a little absurd. I'd be out for revenge too. Maybe not "kick the door down and start pouring gas on everything" revenge, but then again, I'm not a drug addict murderer with guilt eating me alive inside who just found out the only person who I thought cared about me was just using me the whole time...

After this last hyper-intense episode, I'm thinking there is so much more going to happen that we can't even predict. Wow...that was good.

I have to believe that after what Jesse did to Saul, that Saul HAS to be considering retiring while he still can. He must have enough money/hazard pay stashed away somewhere to get out of defending desperate people. He could get a new identity himself and retire in some tropical paradise before he gets crushed between some of his dangerous clients.

Before Sunday's episode I had the following theories about the ricin and the M60

Theory 1: Lydia and Meth Damon can not meet the high standard required by their foreign customers, so they try to get Walt back as a cool. The White's are exposed and Walter (and potentially the whole family) go into hiding, making them unreachable. Lydia and Meth Damon instead turn their efforts towards Jesse, kidnapping him and forcing them him to cook for them. Walter needs the M60 to take out most of the gang until he is left with a few key players, when he will then trade himself for Jesse's freedom. The trade happens, Jesse is freed, and the DEA shows up after the fact to arrest whoever is left after a tip off from Walt. Little does anyone know, but Walt had taken the ricin before his assault, thereby insuring he was removed from the equation no matter who captured him.

Theory 2: Jesse is going to testify against Walt, and the location of the money has been lost. The ricin is for Jesse and the M60 is for Lydia's gang so he can rebuild his empire.

I was happy to believe theory 1 was the direction the show was going (and I'd still be happy if it went that way), but after Sunday I wish I pushed the second theory. I can see Jesse setting the house on fire, but it getting put out before getting too big (maybe Walt Jr walks in just as Jesse throws a match down and Jesse helps him put it out with a house hold fire extinguisher?), but bad enough to force the Whites out and bad enough to burn up the lotto ticket. From Talking Bad we know the Whites take a staycation next episode. If they were hiding from Jesse or Hank I would imagine they would skip town, so is it a fire or is the gas smell enough to force them out?

Who knows, though I do get the feeling that if this fire does not happen, it will because Jesse and Walter Jr. have finally met.
