Hi,
You guys would know !
I watched 'Soilder' with Kurt Russel in last night.

20 Mins in, as he walks up to the camp for the first time, I am sure there is the front end to a Spinner sitting in the right of the screen, used as set dressing.

Can anyone confirm this? looks like its been painted in dark colours ( although with a filter the dark police blue may go black?)
If it was shot in '97, '98 time, what Spinner would have been used?
Weren't they all in collections by this time?

The film is listed as one of several within the lower right of my illuminated technical illustration. That car got around!! (no punn intended) :)

The Disney spinner was still around at the time, although if it had been taken from the boneyard at Disney/MGM I doubt it would have found its way back there (and I'm pretty sure it was seen there much later than that).

The movie is an unofficial sequel to BR. I still haven't seen it though.

Yeah, David Peoples was calling it a "sidequel" in interviews. He said they basically wrote all the soldiers to be replicants, and that he wanted to make a film about all the things Batty was talking about at the end of BR.

Tannhauser Gate makes an appearance too.

Yeah. There's even a shot of the Spinner sitting on the ground that Kurt Russell passes (if I recall correctly) just before he discovers the colony.
