Borderlands Psycho mask sculpt

Looking great! But you are really going a very complicated way :)

Edit: What kind of plasticine are you using? The only modeling clay I can get here in germany (besides usual earth clay) is mars clay. The con: You can only knead the clay while it is warm and it cools damn fast. The pro: When you are done with shaping up the general sculpt its a pleasure to work with

Thanks friend!
One thing I am very good at is making projects needlessly complicated for no good reason ha ha. Part of experimenting with new stuff... and having no idea what I'm doing. But I learned what NOT to do next time which is always a good start.

Got a 5lb brick of Van Aken Plastalina because it was on the cheaper side and is non sulfur-based. First time working with it, but it seems good. Here's the product on manufacturer's site: Van Aken Plastalina Just looking around the web... doesn't look like it's available internationally. : (
Is "Münchner Künstler Plastilin" the same as MarsClay? Both are Mars Staedtler products I think.. Künstler-Modelliermasse: STAEDTLER

The Van Aken Plastalina is okay. Needs to be warmed up to really work, but stays malleable with little effort once mooshed around for a bit. Found that it can be a real pain to get it soft again after a project has been sitting around unworked-on for a while. Don't know if it's just temperature here that's the issue... no heat where I'm working so it gets pretty cold at night and that probably doesn't help. Other than that it's good stuff and it can be smoothed very nicely using isopropyl alcohol. Still new to using it and it's the first kind of non-drying clay I've tried, so not an expert on this kind of thing.

Have actually never seen the Künstler Plastilin lol. Looks interesting. But its not the same as marsclay. As for heating up and stuff.... Marsclay does in no way harden more or less over time. You could reheat it years later and work on (well... staedtler says so haha), but if you ever want to work with it, buy mars clay light, its a bit more expensive but is sulphur free.
