borderlands 2 sniper rifle ammo

I am going to make sniper rifle ammo from borderlands 2 to put on y shelf. I have shell casings (variety of .30 caliber shell types) and I'm going to sculpt some bullets for them because using live ammo is something that I do not want to do and also because the bullets in borderlands 2 are bright blue. I may or may not post many wip pictures on this if it doesn't get much attention.

post up pics anyway. To the people who are interested, the pics would be cool to see. A lot of my builds hardly get any traffic, but for the three people who subscribe, they look forward to updates. I always love me some borderlands builds. :)

Okay I will post pictures if I remember to lol. Once I acquire more of the shells I need I will start the rest. I am going to try to get more .30-06 casings. If I get lucky I may get some .300 win mag or .300 Weatherby mag. I want something large. The everything in Borderlands is really exagerated and the sniper rifles should have something with serious stopping power. Right now I don't have enough of a large enough shell.

The biggest problem I have is getting reference. When I play Borderlands 2 I try to draw/ get reference from the ammo pickups when I don't habitually pick it up. XD There aren't very many reference shots of just ammo.

So i got some decent photos of the ammo but i cant scale them because surprise surprise. My laptop broke. Again. I did notice that the front of the idk what you would call it I guess clip is that it isn't flat. Its got a diagonal line across it where it splits and the pieces are angled

These are photos taken directly from the books ammo page. I hope they aren't too blurry.

Thanks a bunch. Once I can use my laptop again I'll see if I can scale them to see how big they really are. Ill check different shell types from .25-06 up to .50 bmg to see what makes the most sense.

So I'm thinking in-game the .50 BMG is the most likely. This said I don't exactly have $50+ worth of .50 ($7 a piece or more so buying more is not happening) but .30-06 is something I have PLENTY of. (Main deer hunting shell my whole family uses) so I may use them even though they aren't long enough because you only see an inch or so of it in the clip.

So here's what I might do. Take 8 .30-06 shells. Go out to the garage and pull the bullets. Dump the powder. Remove the primer. Take it over to the loading table and reseat the bullet. This way I can have real bullets and weight without the risk or liability of the live shells.

Not sure of your local laws but you might want to drill an obvious hole in the brass just to show it's not real.
