If this has already been covered else where fell free to direct me there, and delete this, but I haven't been able to find the answeres I seek yet.
Ok, so I have dreamed of owning a replica Boba Fett ROTJ blast since I was a kid. It has always been one of my top 10 props I most wanted to own, but probably would never be albe to afford. Well, do to some really great folks of at the Dinted Helmet, I have accumulated most of what I need to make this dream prop come true. (unfortunately, since I'm on Dial up, their site is very, very slow, and since, this is my home for all thing props, and prop related, I'm posting my questions here.)
1. On the real prop, were does the face of the long part of the D-bracket set in relation to the face of the stock? (i.e. flush, or sets in a bit, or sticks out a bit. etc.) I replaced the resin one my kit came with, with an aluminum one, that looks really cool, but it sets, in a tiny bit, but I could build it up, to be even with the face of the stock, if I had too. (I kind of like it setting in a little, but I want to get it as screen accurate as possible.. )
2. What size, and type, of screws are the two screws in the stock, and is there a template for there placement? (On, my Mini MR fett, they are Philips Heads, but I would like to know what's screen accurate.)
3. Are the templates for the location of the model parts?
4. What about the paint scheme? I've seen, and heard a lot of different approaches to the paint scheme. From very dark, to very light, to everything between. I even saw the prop myself, on exhibit a few years ago, but as I never thought I would own one, I didn't look close enough at the paint job, or take any good pics of it. (though I remember it looked light to me.) A lot of the versions look really good, but I would like to get it as Screen accurate as I can. I know, some think it was very dark, but most of what we see of it on screen was in bright sun light, in witch case it could look darker on screen. (because they would have had to "stop down" and it that can make darks, darker, just to make other stuff not wash out.)
So, HELP, if you can, any info, opinions, pics, etc, are welcome.
Thanks
Jason
