This is a question for those who own REAL Webley flare launchers.

The right side handgrip "looks like" it's a plastic or bakelite... like you'd find on a Webley revolver. Is it? Or is it instead cast metal?
I've seen replicas and they mostly seem to have metal.

hey,
the short Webleys, all those:

those all have backelite grips. they are dark brown/black. they smell terible when you cut in them!

the long version used for Boba's blaster has a brass/bronze cast grip and a steel bracket on the other side.
cheers

All Webley No1 Mk1 Flareguns came with a cast bronze/brass grip. The shorter models without the stock have the bakelite ones. And likewise the shiny Nickel plated Federal Lab Webleys you occasionally see are just that, nickel plating over the brass/bronze grip and everything :)

Careful when drilling backelite: phenol, formaldehyde and asbestos to put the cherry on that nasty chemical cake:eek::eek::eek::eek:
