Blood Dragon FemShep! Black Widow! Krogan and a tank! (page 2).

Re: Blood Dragon FemShep! Leather armour and M98- aka Big A** Gun (page 2).

lol! Yep! But worth it. The end result is unlike any other material. It's just a pity russet is so expensive. Chrone tanned hides come and go in fashion so you can get good deals that way for most leather garments but as russet is used for "crafts" it tends to have a higher price.

Pieces in the sun, the skin side curls up as it tightens more than the raw side.

On the left is the stronger wider industrial seam on the left is the easier to do Babylock which then gets over sewn with the industrial.

Sadly I am one of those affected by the great mysterious no thumbnail curse so I'll see if I can embed an image from my site:

Lots of cleaning to do but I have nearly all the leatherwork sorted.

Currently drinking buckets of water as unfortunately I am having a very active bout of Rheumtoid Disease and my only solution atm is steroids. Emailed my specialist and right now I am hoping I can have an infusion at the hospital in the next week but it's more likely to be four weeks. Just after the date I was supposed to debut this costume.

I have had offers of help to hammer holes for rivets which is awesome.

The big gun is definitely not on the cards until after I get treatment.

And I'll go back and edit the last post to show up my images.

Excellent work, looks like a perfect fit. I usually work with fibreglass myself, but going the foam route for time for my N7. Solid build, well done!

Leather allows for a very close fit :) And it's tough. If I'd had some more protection the actual armour parts would be SCA legal :) The place I got this from has some sole weight leather and I'm so tempted... soooo tempted.

As per my icon I work with fibreglass a lot as well :) This armour though requires flex and strength at the same time. And I want something that will last a long time.
