Blockbuster

Blockbuster sat on the sidelines far too long while Netflix grew it's business model of movies-by-mail. Sitting on their hands has put them behind the eight ball and I'm not sure they'll ever be able to recover.

I have so many similar horror stories of poor treatment at BB stores, as well as Hollywood and other similar places. I'm so glad I joined Netflix.

For those that do streaming, what do you use? I have a VGA cable going from my computer to my TV but there's no way that will give me high def.

If anyone is interested in trying Netflix, please PM me. We can help each other immensely.

I stopped Netflix simply because of the lack of closed captions on their streaming videos (I'm deaf). Last friday, for a date night with my wife, we drive around to 5 redboxes trying to find something remotely interesting. The movie we ended up getting sucked, too. I'm fortunate to have a decent DVD collection at my school library that I can check out, though. I highly recommend the movie "Kinky Boots", it was so much fun to watch. :)

I just got Netflix the other day and love it, the movie selections are awesome, especially for someone like me who's into horror and foreign films.

I went to BB about two years go just to pick up the mego type Star trek figs and a couple of communicators when they had them going for 5bucks each. The ones I visited looked like junkyards - toys and crappy framed posters. I't like they are now part video store part flea market.

Year's ago I rented Swordfish at Blockbuster to specifically watch the ball bearing explosion, and my copy had the scene chopped way down. I thought omg it's been chopped for 9/11, but later when I bought a copy from Tower the scene was there exactly as I remembered in theaters & I realized Blockbuster is a censoring piece of **** which was the last dollar I spent with them.
