Blade Runner toy conversion

So, I just order the blade runner revolver toy.

And with that, I'm going to do the conversion!

So let's start with the hard parts.
-Strip the gun completely
-trace the grip and cut it out on plywood.
-mold the rest of the gun and modify the receiver to the correct shape
- I would like to get as accurate as possible
- I might possibly allow the bolt to be moveable

What I am asking of you guys, is to post your high res, well lit blasters, so i can get the best source, and when it comes time, i will ask for specifics.

Sorry to say but if you going for accuracy then that is definitely not the blaster your looking for... it's So far off from the real thing. Not saying you can't make it look cool though. That can happen quite easily. Good luck with the build.

So I've now disassembled the gun, I don't really have any photos yet, I'll work on getting better lighting and such, but that is done.
Looking at those world con photos, I can get decently close with a good amount of epoxy and putty and some additions.

To do list

- Trace out gun onto cheap wood or particle board
- Cut grip off and cast it and then make a resin copy
- Take wooden grip and apply resin grips on it

After that, I could cast the entire gun which might be a smart idea, because the barrel is completely off, then fixing the slide and the bolt to make it on the same plane.
The bolt shouldn't be to hard to create which decent accuracy, then should I make it moving or not i don't know. More to come on that front.

Like other conversions, the toy feels cheap in your hand, but I like it, its really light and probably would shatter pretty quickly against throwing it.
But it definitely feels like it was meant to be modded and used to make something better, but now i'll get onto acknowledging the things that will have to change
on the entire gun.

The non bolt side:

-This side is very fixable and i mean that sincerely.
-The main problem is where the cylinder would swing out, from the handle going left to where the magazine starts is where it needs to be fixed.
-The toy as shown doesn't have the best cover for the cylinder, but that would be fixable with casting it, then shaving off a certain area, and smoothing it out.
ALSO FIX THE DUMB HAMMER!

The bolt side:

- Scratch most of what exist and fixing the proportion of the screw and the bolt, the safety is pretty close to the actual thing, at least as much as I care.
- The proportion of the magazine is most off, but can be fixed relatively easily.
- and also fixing the trigger guard and adding an extra trigger.

So I have some work needed to be done, Hopefully I can keep a good schedule moving forward on this but also still keeping up with college work.
More to come I promise.

possibly so, but I have yet to see any of the toys with resin grips, plus I like trying to figure this out myself.

Yeesh, just let the guy do his project. I'm looking forward to what you come up with, Ragedancer.
