Blade Runner Blaster Questions

I believe they were told to sand the butt plate and hit the frame and ended up sanding it to blend the frame together,,,

Thank's Rich. I was talking about were they sanded. but now the hole Intrigue's me also?

I remember reading a post that stated there were plans early on to light up the grip with interior lighting, but that this idea was ultimately abandoned. Was the hole in the grip where the wires would have been fed through?

Thanks for the kind words...and you're right...a cheap OW and a bunch of real .38 parts and a few other upgrades can make a fairly miserable blaster into a good costume piece you don't have to worry about too much!!

remember that some people don't have the option of using real gun parts either such as here in Australia.

That's too bad!? They don't allow parts even?? That's just silly? I guess you could cast the plastic parts you need out of pewter or fabricate them out of aluminum...? That's a bum deal mate.. sorry...

Nope no gun parts except for things like grips and no Airsoft guns or parts either. Makes prop gun building tricky. We even need import permits to get cast plastic and metal replicas into the country. If it resembles a real gun it can be an issue. The thing about parts is that over time you could build a full gun.

The ones j build couldn't be turned into a real gun very easily?! They have a plastic main frame...unless someone went go the trouble of making or purchasing a real frame ... even then there are issues with trying that out...when I do sell them, which unfortunately didn't very often I always include a disclaimer saying I am not responsible for what happens after they receive the prop...hopefully that covers me? Most of the people I've done mods for are fans of BR though and I doubt they are looking to use an OW to try and make a real gun...it would turn into a grenade in their hands?!
Wish you luck...if you decide to build one please post pics!!! Cheers!

I would rather not comment on it here...I'll just say there was apparent misunderstanding between him and the admins here...that's I'll I can say...feel free to contact him if you need more but I don't feel its really my place to say much if anything else since this is not my own personal issue...cheers!

Since you are unable to own a real gun, may I suggest a build using a real but BATFE APPROVED DEACTIVATED Bulldog?

Mine is a shooter, but if I took the Bulldog to a specialist gunsmith it could be deactivated and registered with the Cal. DOJ Firearms System as a deactivated firearm with serial number #####. I have several original movie props that were made out of real, but deactivated, guns.Cylinder.jpg

Of course, having a shooter means you can shoot real, .44 cal. hollowpoints or special replicant stopper rounds that glow in the dark.
