Blade Runner Blaster Questions

Since you are unable to own a real gun, may I suggest a build using a real but BATFE APPROVED DEACTIVATED Bulldog?

Mine is a shooter, but if I took the Bulldog to a specialist gunsmith it could be deactivated and registered with the Cal. DOJ Firearms System as a deactivated firearm with serial number #####. I have several original movie props that were made out of real, but deactivated, guns.

The rules are a bit stricter where I live in Australia. A deactivated firearm is still treated as a firearm here as are Airsoft guns. I still need to get a licence to have a deactivated gun and have to be registered as a collector I think. I also don't think you are allowed to modify the gun after it has been deactivated as you get a licence for a "deactivated Winchester rifle" not a licence for a "deactivated Winchester rifle turned into a scfi gun". So licences are needed for real guns (if you can prove you NEED a gun licence) also for deactivated ones and one cannot get any sort of licence for Airsoft. The odd thing is in the state I live in I can own full metal replica pistols like a Beretta 92F with no licence or registration required.

MonstersinMotion.com will be selling this model in the summer - Blade Runner 1:1 PKD Blaster-by Daiki Kogyo Blade Runner 1:1 PKD Blaster-by Daiki Kogyo [03BDK01] - $199.00 : Monsters in Motion, Movie, TV Collectibles, Model Hobby Kits, Action Figures, Monsters in Motion

I have one pre-ordered. I currently own an Offworld Inc model, but I am interested in the Tomonesuke model but I don't want to buy something I have to assemble.

Ugh, order shipped on July 29th and still hasn't arrived... frustrating...

EDIT: Just heard back from Monsters in Motion and they let me know the items was pushed back to a November delivery and my order page mistakenly marked it as shipped when I paid the order off.

This is an observation more than a question. but if anyone has any insight on this I would love to hear it. I'm working on two Coyle blasters for awhile now. and there is one part that has stopped me. or I should say stumped me.

ok here goes. the cylinder swing arm screw. I'm thinking It is still in the real world prop and that there is a smaller button head screw drilled and tapped off to the side of the swing arm screw. holding the trigger guard to the front of the frame. if this has been discussed before. please excuse my lack of finding it...

Has anyone a TOP 10 list of the best BLADERUNNER BLASTERS... With info, pricing & sales contact. Plus the best of reasonable price & acuratey for a first time buyer!! Also what to stay clear of & faults...warts n' all.

In my opinion: Coyle, if you want the proper look of the screen-used prop.
Tomenosuke, if you want the Japanese "strict, sharp improvement" of the prop.
Sidkit, if you want a slightly oversized prop with its own look and particularities.

Well I've got a OFFWORLD metal, just bought a Sidkit to make and waiting for delivery...after that l feel a Coyles is a natural choice but will be saving up for that...

If you get a Coyle, it will be ALL metal except for those parts that are synthetic on the original (grips, Steyr mag, etc.). The Japanese replicas are generally required by Japanese law to use plastic barrels. :-(

Also, I THINK Coyle had a means to get his replicas shipped to the UK.
