Blade Runner- A Web of Props (Original Pics updated)

i can't tell you how dissapointed i am that the images from this thread are mostly gone. that really sucks.

on another note...anyone ever ID the watch that Harrison had on?

Alright, most of my pics are back up.

The only one that I wasn't able to replace was in post 22. Someone has uploaded a different pic with the same name to Wackychimp since then. I would normally just edit it BUT this thread is so old and has gone through a format change sinec it was originally written (I believe) that I can't edit my old posts.

The first pic in post 22 should look like this.

When I was in video production, we had few just like those models. Ahh the memories.

You're ugly. What's up with that goatee? LOL

Any new, exciting finds? I know this thread started off with a lot of Deckard ID information and Kevin has been putting together a lot of information about the apartment key lately. I just wanted to see if anything else has been worked on recently.

Since there is so much Blade RUnner mania going on lately, I thought that I'd release another nugget of trivial z-list proppery.

In my ongoing studies of the ESPER I found that the sideview ESPER had a recognisable object in front and after a bit of searching, finally figured it out.

An SX-70 Sonar Polaroid camera.

And of course like everything else that is attached to the ESPER it is used again in the front view ESPER and the Spinner.

I love it. The set dressers and prop folks just raided a garage sale, tipped things on thier side and created this "technology noise" of plastic and chrome for the background visuals.

Maybe for the esper they actually thought they might use it to feed the picture out of? Maybe?

Nick, your vigilant detective work puts Deckard to shame. :thumbsup

Man, a bunch of the pics are down again in this thread. I'm gonna have to host em myself I suppose.

I'll try and update the pics in the next couple days.

Nick

I swear I'll get them back up soon, and with a permanent hosting.

Just been super busy with projects lately.

You see the VK manual at Profiles in History?

Also, here's a cap that shows some of the details around the 'eye':

Note the small VK logo, and the apparent 'screen' in front of the red eye.
