Blade Runner- A Web of Props (Original Pics updated)

Sith, that's very cool. I never noticed any of that before. The friggin'detail never stops with the film.

Some screencaps of what may be money:

Unaltered:

And my attempt at lightening and color correction:

The sequence is 1, 2, 3 across the top and then 4, 5, 6 across the bottom.

These are from when Deckard is buying the bottle of Tsing-Tao. Just barely visible at the bottom of the frame.

It looks to me like he's grabbing a wad of money out of his pocket with his right hand. I think the handkerchif is in his left hand. That's his left and right; the reverse for the viewer.

Anyone want to check the 1080p HD version? These are just from my DVD of the director's cut.

I watched that scene over and over again on the remastered disc and couldn't see anything. He also shows his wallet to the snake man but I can't see much there either.

I have the 1080i version, but I couldn't see much during that scene (I grabbed what appeared to be the clearest frames):

The only thing I noticed about the wallet from that scene, was that it's definitely a tri-fold (if that was ever in question). *shrugs*

I've started to update from my own website. I'll try and finish updating them soon.

It's kind of a pain to dig through the old files and match them up to what is being talked about in each post but it's worth it.

My only regret now is that the new BR DVD has such clearer pics that it's frustrating to put up the substandard pics now.

The DVD drive is screwed on my computer otherwise I'd start making new caps for my research. I am looking at picking up a new pc soon but don't know exactly when. We'll see.

Cool. I realy like learning the history of stuff. Next time I watch the movie I will remember stuff like this and it will add to it's dimension...if only a little.

Thought I'd bump this old thread now that we have new DVD findings going on to possibly help shed some light on these old subjects.

This thread started with the desire to build an ESPER machine but I could never find enough hard info to confidently start. With these new lovely HD screen caps and remastered visuals that just might change now!

ALso I'm gonna spend a little time to finish putting up the old reference pics and also reveal a few final found items.

It's Blade Runner madness these days!

This is a awesome thread, how did I miss it?!?!?!

This thread is pretty ancient. It only gets bumped up from the depths every few months or so. I started it back in 2004 when not very many people gave a hoot about BR props (other than the pistol, of course) and there were still a bunch of basic discoveries to be made. A bunch of the topics started in this thread ended up splitting of into there own discussions. I think the old Deckard ID thread that started here is now in the Archives.

Ooo - More found items, eh?

I love the few new shots in the Final Cut, and especially the 45-minute 'alternate takes' feature.

The one thing I did notice was that there were 2 espers, depending on filming angle of Deckard, because in his side shots the 'braun clocks' on the side of the esper are not there (not to mention the bottles changing too). I picked up a couple vintage Braun travel alarms, but unfortunately, not the right ones.

Have you watched the alternate version of the Esper sequence on the deleted scenes? Different machine throughout.

Yep, I noticed that the close up shots where of the same machine we see from the side view (I think?)...and the zoom in ends up on the same photo of Zhora used for the Poloroid.
