I'm in if it is Leather, It is either a thin Leather or a faux leather, there is no way it is a waxed Cotton, waxed cotton does not react like in these screen grabs. That CG image on page one is not something to go off of, there are so many window reflections and it is not a photo. The Entertainment magazine photo is better , go off of the film screen grabs. I'll ask the costume designer on my show if she knows the costume designer on the film and get a definitive answer. But seeing these images its not cotton.
My 2 cents.
That is not an image from the film, who knows what or when that photo shoot took place, and how it's been doctored, I'm just saying, but yes your blow up of what ever that is, is a woven cloth. I'll ask my costume designer on Monday if she can help us find out . But if where me I wouldn't go off that image.
Well if you have a connection you can ask, that's awesome! I'll love to hear what they say!
100% waxed cotton, as joshspiderman23 said its just like the Rorschach coat used in watchmen, just with some padding. Im not a huge fan of blade runner by any means but i am extremely interested in the upcoming film.
The coat is amazing and would look great in winter so im interested pending price....
Spoke with one of our costumers today and he is friends with one of the set costumers on Blade Runner 2049, so he will ask her in the next day or so, we are shooting splits right now so hoping to hear by Wed.
Have we gotten a good look at the left front side of the jacket yet? Almost all of the quality shots have been of the right side, but it's clearly somewhat asymmetrical in the lapel/collar area...
The collar is longer on the left side so it can wrap around the lower face/neck. Pretty cool design.
