Limited Run Blade Runner 2049 - Officer K Pistol - 3D Printed Kit with LEDs

Looks good - I think I'm in. I'm a newcomer to assembling 3d printed kits, so I've some reservations about getting the assembly done well. I'm especially clueless about applying the carbon fiber wrap... Hopefully there will be an option fir buying a second sheet. ;-)

Got it, thanks!

Form filled in and payment sent. Can you confirm you've received?

This is a pretty easy kit to start with. Only 8 pieces, gun is painted mostly black. The carbon wrap you get should let you try at least twice, if not 3 times

A big thanks to all for the orders. Soon as I get a moment to breathe, I'll check order form vs paypal and if there are any issues, I'll email you. Just finishing last BR gun, Then will get started on these!

Form makes no sense. The last thing is a paypal link with an answer blank below it and a submit button. I clicked submit. Now what?

I filled in the form (asterisk answers only so the last answer is blank), submitted the form then logged into paypal and sent the payment to the provided email address. That worked for me.

Yeah, I just did the same. Fingers crossed. Next question. How are we gonna wrap that grip? Lol!

Carbon fiber wrap included. I think if you heat it up it should flex around the part, but how easy that will be I'm not sure. Good that there's enough included for 3 attempts. I plan to put a coat of clear epoxy over the top when done to give it that gloss shine seen in your image.

Would a painted gloss clear coat achieve a similar result? Can you even paint over vinyl wrap?

This is the only thing I have online to show. It is a base for a bust. You can kind of tell by the reflections how glossy it is.

I've still got loads of xtc 3d left so will be using that. Quite cheap for the 6oz pack aswell which would be more than enough for this.

So what’s the general consensus on colour for this blaster? I’ve been assuming black... but the picture above of the heroes in their box makes it look more like a darkish steel or gunmetal.

I would say a gunmetal with perhaps a matt black for the barrel surround and gloss for the ribbing, with a touch of metallic for weathering.

Unfortunately there's no "link: between the google form and paypal. You have 2 options, click the link (which doesn't work in all countries apparently) or my paypal email is mentioned at least two times in the form.

The last paypal link has no asterix, meaning it's not required to be filled out, I haven't found a way to have just the paypal link and no black question

Thanks

I'll include a bigger piece of carbon fiber too, should let people get at least 3 to 4 tries. In my sign shop, we use a solution called rapid tak, it allows you some "grace" as the sticker doesn't stick until the solution dries. I've heard of people using water, a drop of dishsoap and/or glycerin. Spray onto grip, work the sticker with a squeegee and heat, let it dry...

If you have a decent airbrush, there is a carbon fiber stencil, you can buy. It looks pretty good, just have to figure out how to wrap the template around the handle. I think they used a dip tank method (thin like decal), to make the one's in the pics. The Alclad chrome, or smoked chrome would look nice, but the only thing I have found to topcoat it without affecting the look, is Mop and Glo floor polish. It gives a nice gloss shine, but I have not tried epoxy
