I see on the print there is a hole either side aligned with where some of the detailing on the side of the gun would be.
I'm now concerned I ripped these parts off in my haste to remove the supports from the barrel.
Were these ever on the model?
I see wayouteast doesn't have them on his kit either.
It's not an issue. I can add them fairly easily, but just wanted to be sure I hadn't unintentionally disposed of some parts.

You can use a piece of the filament that I include and put it into the hole to replicate that feature. It was too small to print but the filament is a good approximation. Good eyes!

Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm planning on recreating the little cylindrical (semi-cylindrical) doohickey that lives there on either side using two diameters of plastic rod. I'll also use some very thin plastic strip / rod to add a bit of interior detail to the aperture immediately below it (in the prop a sliding gizmo is visible through that space which moves in concert with the silver trapezoid whojamaflip on the top of the gun when the trigger is operated. In the Tested video, Doug Harlocker says that they added that little refinement so something interesting was seen to happen when the trigger was pulled (the muzzle flash being CGI in post).

Did better this week than I thought, 11 kits ready, just need to box and label and they will go out Sunday. Look for an email soon! Will keep making more next week

Got my kits yesterday but my mailbox was frozen shut so I had to go out there this morning with a hairdryer and extension cord. Finally cracked it open to find the best reward ever haha. I'm super impressed with the print quality. Thanks dude!
My friend runs a car vinyl wrapping business so I'm gonna have him help me wrap the grip. However he also said is getting the equipment soon to actually make his own real carbon fiber parts. It'd be sick if I could get a real grip made.

Update :
I'm out of the 2 small magnets and none available atm. They aren't even necessary, the cover sticks really well. The accessory kit will no longer come with the 2 magnets
