Blade Runner 2049 Joi's Emenator

Speaking of the Box, I think I have serendiputously come across a good, though not perfect, match for the plastic packaging/padding the Box came in.

Anycubic ship their 1L UV-Resin in a very similar protective padding:

hey MatterWiz, i out thrifting a couple of days ago and came across this packaging from a samsung printer toner cartridge. I dont know how much you care about the accuracy of this, but this seems a lot closer to the one used in the movie. the serial number on the bag is this: CLT-M407S/XAA

Great Find! It does look closer to the on screen packaging, although the samsung branding doesn't really fit. I should research some packaging suppliers maybe I can find the original

Don't know if anyone has seen this yet from Paragon FX? Some nice shots of how the original was put together. One of the interesting things I noticed is that the power button looks gloss black. Also the logo is def not embossed but looks like a gloss difference.... almost like they did a clear high gloss decal over the base paint. Hope this helps out. :)

Might be screenprinted on or maybe they spraypainted over a laser cut decal. Theres definitely more detail in this video than most of the material I've been able to find online. I may have to get back into this project...

If you do an update let me know. I am getting back into prop making after a hiatus and really wanted to start with the Joi Emanator print and build and I dig the work you have done so far.

Yes, the ParagonFX Emanator is a great glimmer of Hope in regards to getting hands on that prop. I was on their Video Podcast last week and we talked about the Joi Emanator a great deal on that Episode. The Prop that they are doing is as close as you can get to the Prop seen on Screen, because they used the same model from the company that did it for the movie. Currently it is deep into product development, but i have confidence in ParagonFX, (even if they do not ship internationally at the moment), that the Emanator (both of them) are gonna be amazing. Give the episode a watch.

Cheers Spikeyfied
