Blade Runner 2049 - Sapper Morton Hazmat Suit Hose Protector - (Free STL)

After seeing Adam Savage's One Day Build where he created aluminum hose protector links for his gorgeous new Sapper Morton Helmet replica prop, I decided I needed to try designing one for 3D printing. My design differs in that the inner tabs are symmetrical arches (stronger for plastic), instead of small rectangles, to the outside tabs and there is a recessed area to allow for full range of motion.

It's the first from-scratch 3D design I have ever made so it may not be perfect.

Needs 2 5×6mm button head bolts and washer per link. The bolts screw through the washer in from the outside and it will retain the inner tabs of the next link.

Thank you for sharing!
Is there a 3D model helmet somewhere to buy and print? Or are you scratchbuilding it yourself?
Not that I know of. I actually just wanted the hose cage to put on my Blade Runner themed car (like it's in-universe). As far as I know Deetz is the only person that has designed the helmet files but I understand that he may not be releasing the files publicly.

Very good work indeed!!:cool:(y)(y) You're right; Deetz is taking commission to sell a finished helmet, if my memory serves me well;)

Sorry for injecting this thread, but regarding the PropStore catalog I'm really in love with the special hand prop called "Polaroid viewer" or "Photoviewer" or "Slide reader" designed by great Peter Eszeniy.

His original prototype was made to house iPhone inside which makes the display working. The final prop has inbuilt working display and is well documented in catalog and in Adam's video. Would be great to build one. I haven't found any thread about this prop here yet.

Seems fairly simple...would be great if someone was building one(y)(y)
