Black Widow Gun Belt, Iron Man 2

@Zendragon, I found another place where they have 'm in stock I think, will send inquiry and let you know the feedback...

The holster is defenitely a mold, as mentioned in the making of book IM2, "I had made the holster but had made it right-handed and she's lefthanded, so we had to make a new holster, it was scary but we molded that in a week ...".

Is the plan to cast the mold for other RPF members Zendragon? Because else I'll start working on my own one but I believe it's a pity we get 3 people working on the same thing ...

If the movie suit has any basis with the comic, it was basically her utility belt. In the comic, she had spare web-line and ammunition for her Widow's bite.

Our plan at least initially is to use the SERPA holster for out needs. While it won't fit the PPK/s I can probably put something else into it for now.

Because I have a history of not starting projects I want to do, I would rather see someone else make it and I can buy it :lol But if I can get it done and it turns out right, I would offer it to those who wanted it.
 
The boots with the flat sole were probably for a stunt double who was taller than the actress.

And apparently I'm the only person to whom it was readily apparent that the suit was blue while watching the movie?

After the movie one of my costumey friends said: "And I've always wanted to do a black catsuit costume" to which I replied "Uh.. but Black Widow's costume was blue." Blank stares from the entire group. Seriously, I'm partially colorblind, and I'm the only one who could tell the damn thing wasn't black?!

doubtful....her stunt double is listed at 5'2" but, yes I;m sure it made the stunt work easier.
based on the promo shots, it was debated if there was a color correction. shots of the swatch and the move made it obvious it's navy.

ok so I know this is a little late in thread to do but I thought I'd share anyway!
Boots
As far as these go I found some pretty good ones on ebay for 40 bucks, I wanted to do the wedge versions so I searched wedge boots and found some pretty good bases to start with!

(I'm going to do this costume black because well, I don't feel like spending the money to get that sweet dark navy fabric)so now all I have to do is get some extra black suede fabric and those belt clips and add them on.

I may be doing a run of these soon if anyone is interested let me know. They will be sized appropriately and embroidered. I'll put up a pic when I get mine finished

Also if anyone does do a run of the holster I'd be interested

its blue alright for teh movei only but originally it has always been black. that's why she's black widow not blue widow. :lol:angel just joking.
 
Black never translates well onto camera, it tends to become a solid mass. having texture of a similar but more distinct colour, like dark blue gives a costume more depth and looks better on camera.

hmmm... but isn't selene from the underworld wore black? cat woman (michelle pfeiffer) wore a black cat suit too. and many others. they could have used black but texturized it to add more depth like what they did to countless all black costumes that were used in the movie.

i'm just saying. :angel
