Black Series Darth Vader reveal helmet coming...? Hasbrocon

Their helmet could have very easily looked like this and stil retain the black symmetrical look for the masses.

I dont understand why They could not just scan a ROTS and use that as a base. I dont get the butt ugly sculpt they went with. Its fat and just not in line with the rest of their helmets.

I will stand by this opinion..regardless if this is a toy company or not. I will repeat what I said earlier, They nearly nailed the look on the other 3 helmets then this monstrosity comes along. I dont understand why they are not ashamed of this thing.

The biggest problem I saw with it, though, which kind of wrecked the whole thing, was that the top bell helmet, whatever it's called, the very top helmet part, it's gigantic.

I remember the first time I saw a screen used Vader helmet at the Oscar museum in Los Angeles (before they closed for their massive overhaul of the space) and I thought the same thing. The bell part of the helmet looked gigantic. But it was a screen used costume on loan from Skywalker Ranch, so maybe they based this one off of the ANH version?

OT helmets are just much bigger than they look on screen. I remember the first time I held a Stormtrooper helmet replica is was so much bigger than I thought.

That's certainly possible. It just looked out of proportion to the rest of the helmet to me. And like I mentioned, the bottom front edge was so low that it sat over the face frown, and I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to. :lol Sitting low could be pretty easily fixed with some foam, though, if that's the biggest issue. It did look out of proportion to me but I'm sure someone who is more knowledgeable about Vader helmets would know for certain. I just thought that it looked rather off. The helmet is nice, it's just not what I was hoping it would be from the previous Black Series helmets.

Edit: I did find this picture online... http://www.jedinews.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/IMG_20180217_164555.jpg The helmet I saw on display looked like that but the top helmet sat down lower. Like I mentioned, the full helmet wasn't even able to sit flat on the table because the top helmet was too big. But in this picture it looks like the they have the helmet sitting flat, so I'm wondering if the one I saw had some sort of defect or was missing a piece? Or maybe it had been dropped and whatever made the helmet sit higher broke off? Or the final mold was changed slightly? Or... Who knows...? It did have that more angled, angrier-looking frown. Though I thought that I saw that the lenses were red on it, but I can't swear to that.

I took a look at the helmet again and this is actually one aspect of the helmet that is not taken from a cartoon. The bell section of the dome is right where it should be when viewed from the profile angle. The neck and the dome should cross like an x. With that said the neck is way to steep of am angle and that in turn makes the bell section appear to large.

This is the one time I'd ever actually take the Rubies Vader helmet over this, or they'd have been way better off using the rubies to build this product up from.

That is some serious Vader-porn. Whose is that?
I believe that’s one made by Korbanth (aka Sith Planet,) sold every once in a while on his eBay account. I’m not entirely sure but I believe the helmet is from a Portumac kit. I was close to buying one from him a while back but decided to hold off since it sounded like the interior wasn’t really accurately finished.

I wonder how it would look in a deconstructed display, like this. The flaws may be less noticable View attachment 801154

Who/Where is that reveal helmet from?

Whose reveal helmet is that? And if someone were selling it (or one like it), what might it sell for?

I've been craving a reveal helmet for a number of years now. Wondering if there are any other options besides this Black Series one!

I think they wanted to create the inside of the ROTS Reveal helmet. Not a bad idea because its a piece of art inside. But they made it on a very low level.

I am not sure to be honest I just googled the picture to make a point here.

I received one of these this morning; and I like it. I'm pretty old school on Star Wars and I like the less symmetrical look of this helmet. Could they have done a better job of it? Well, yeah they could've. But I feel it's a decent offering for the price range. It's a little rough around the edges, and too small for my gigantic head to fit in to; but for shelf fodder it works for me. Although I may do some repaint later on.
