As I previously stated...
...so unless you can get confirmation that you are looking at a production run piece (which I doubt you are) I think the any analyst of the make or finish of the helmet is a waste of time.
With that being said, has anyone at SDCC asked the Hasbro reps if the item on display is one of their prototypes. Often items that are first shown are those that have been specialty hand painted prior to those being manufactured. It is also common practice for Hasbro to have their product that is photographed on the boxes to be speciality painted. Many times you will find that the level of paint detail does not match what is in the box.
I'm not saying that if this is the case, you will be disappointed but but I just think it is something to keep in mind when looking at these pre-released products.
