Black Series Boba Fett Helmet Announced

Where are they saying this will be up for pre order?
I’m still searching and monitoring sites to see. No one has announced or said it will be just one so I assume Amazon, Game Stop and the likes would have it. Hasbro too obviously. Wonder if there will be a limit too.

The only helmet I've picked up was the stormtrooper, so I've been out of the loop with these. Have they went up for pre order right after they've been announced in the past?

Comicbook.com says that the view finder lights and flashes.

Also it should be available to preorder many places as the link they provide goes to entertainmentearth.com to preorder.

This is an amazing helmet. I'm a little bit disappointed in the toy collecting community though, with their bias prejudice against it because "No one asked for a helmet, focus on action figures!" type of mentality.

It does look textured, but if this is in the casting, it should be. I’ll be very interested to see pictures of this once people get their hands on them.

Same. I also jumped on the Luke one as well a little earlier, but had to go through GameStop to do so since Amazon stopped. Word of caution, if you do go through GameStop to get the Luke bucket, using PayPal might say it didn’t go through but also will tell you that it did. I received three confirmations via email saying PayPal is processing. Just be mindful of this for any purchase really.

some high res pics here

Just so people understand what these are; the original sculpts have a specific asymmetry, like a face. To me, once you start altering that, you lose the character.
This Boba helmet is very impressive for the price point and it's miles beyond the first licensed helmet; the Don Post. However it must be stated that the sculpt has been drastically altered.
The EFX may not be perfect but the shape and paint is still much superior and more true to the original prop.
As for the X-Wing helmet, yeah it looks cool but they used the wrong helmet as reference and there are some major issues.
Not trying to be a downer, I do think these are cool. But they shouldn't be confused for anything other than exactly what they intended to be, high end toys.
:)

I'd also like to know what the consistency is going to be with the paint apps? Are they using masks or is it up to the discretion of the Chinese worker to apply the weathering where they feel appropriate?

The way paint apps via automated process can achieve very complex looks. So i seriously doubt Hasbro has anyone do these by hand...

With that being said, has anyone at SDCC asked the Hasbro reps if the item on display is one of their prototypes. Often items that are first shown are those that have been specialty hand painted prior to those being manufactured. It is also common practice for Hasbro to have their product that is photographed on the boxes to be speciality painted. Many times you will find that the level of paint detail does not match what is in the box.

I'm not saying that if this is the case, you will be disappointed but but I just think it is something to keep in mind when looking at these pre-released products.

I think later today (5pm?) these go on preorder here.

I was on a few SW toy collecting sites until I realized that action figures was just about ALL they cared about. Figures, I might add, that kids are NOT lining up to buy. Hell, even when I was a kid, it was all about lightsaber/blaster toys, and vehicles (all of which now suck, but that's another thread). The only reason I bought the figures was to put them in the vehicles. Maybe that was just me, IDK. I loved props then, I love them now. Guess that's why I'm here. But up until I got my degree, I was working retail, and let me tell you NOBODY is buying the action figures. Action figures pegwarm. They pegwarm across multiple licenses. It's sad, but in the age of iPad, nobody wants to play with a Chewbacca action figure anymore.

It's especially bad at Toy Fair. When they announced the Ant-Man helmet, it was almost impossible to find any images or tweets or anything about it. All anybody would report and focus in is the action figures. I'd watch videos of Hasbro's booth, and only one ever showed the helmet for two seconds.
