Well, it happened to me. I know there's been talk of SealsDirect changing their 'formula', but I ordered a bunch of neckseal before anything was mentioned.

Used the exact same part number as the stuff I ordered before. I've had this stuff sitting around for a long time thinking, whew, I'm glad I got some before the change. Wrong.

Totally unuseable.

End of rant.


Anybody found a new source yet?

Is the item they sent a different item number than what you ordered? Perhaps they have a glitch in their ordering system and something has been labeled wrong at the warehouse level. Did you try calling them?
 
Well, it has been a while since I ordered and I cut a long strip of 'lip' off before I realized this was a different type. I'll send them that picture above and see what they say.
 
Sorry to hear that clutch. If they end up sending the correct stuff please let us know.

Meanwhile...
I am looking for the correct stuff as well (enough for two helms).
If anyone has any extra please let me know. Thanks.

I just got both brow and neck trim last week as per your recomendetions, Clutch.

It looked okat to me anyway but I must admit I didn't really analyse it closely.

I'll compare it to my SDS tonight.
 
Yep right enough. The neck seal has changed slightly. Its a bit thicker. However, mounted one way round it really doesn't look that much different from the outside.

The brow trim appears to be pretty much the same, maybe ever so slightly more rounded at the bottom edges but barely noticeable.

Doh' Yes, 118 not 117.
Thank you gordietrooper, now I really messed up my order, twice.
 
that looks good. I found that this fat stuff didn't really 'hug' the helmet like the other trim.
 
So the consensus is that Atlas Seals ATW118, Is the way to go now?

Any thing else out there thats EXACTLY like what seals direct used to carry???

Id really like to find some... :(
 
I wouldn't count on Atlas just yet.......they have been unresponsive to any of my requests to date for a status of my order. :confused
