Bioshock infinite Vigor bottles

Here was the entire ten step process-
1. An antique bottle was first sanded down to get all the numbers and writing off of it.
2. The bottle was then cleaned to make sure no dangerous liquid was left on it.
3. I then wrapped the bottle in painters tape and sculpted the octopus out of Super Sculpey clay (In different sections. The octopus consists of probably 6 different sections that were closely glued to look like that it was all one piece.)
4. The whole thing was then boiled.
5. All sections of the Octopus were removed and painted with three layers of spray paint. Black, hammered copper, and then silver.
6. Glossy black paint was then put on it for the destroyed effect.
7. The octopus emblem was from the pictures I posted on here and then glued to the bottle.
8. I used a frosting effect to put all over the bottle.
9. The octopus was then glued on the bottle.
10. The cork was made out of a cork, Super Sculpey, and then painted.

wow i am very impressed

I know this thread is old, so apologies for the ressurection, but the links to the models here are all dead. Are they available somewhere else or have these been C&D'd due to some offical merch coming out?

Time to revive this thread!

I've been working on Return to Sender for some time, its about ready to mold and cast.

Shockjockey on the way to I see? :)

By the way, what kind of printer did you use for the Retrun to Sender cork? That thing has amazing detail for that size!

I sold all the other Shock Jockeys I made, so I wanted to make a bottle for myself now.

I sent the files to Shapeways.com, and ordered them with their Strong White and Flexible material. I was really surprised with how well they were able to print the details because its one of their cheapest materials. The only one I had printed in a slightly more detail material was the base of the bottle. I will try to take more close up pictures of all the pieces soon.

Shapeways is a little pricey, but I do enjoy their product.

This thread continues to get better and better. Now that I've moved on to a different project it's still nice to come back here again and again.

What sort of primer did you use on your prints? It looks like you got a nice, smooth finish on your bits & pieces...and I've got a couple bits & pieces of my own from Shapeways that I'm trying to get a smooth finish on, so I'm very interested!

...& your work on the Return To Sender stuff looks great, by the way. :D

PM sent.

There is some excellent work here, I'm actually playing the game at the moment and have to say I'd like some of these for myself :D

I haven't finished Bioshock Infinite yet but I love the design of the vigor bottles. I would personally love a Murder of Crows replica. I love the design of it.
