Hey friends,

Is there a thread that breaks down all the pieces and parts of Bilbo Baggin's Lord of the Rings movie costume? I did some searching but didn't find much.

Also, anyone found a good source for curly headed wigs that are nicer than the TERRIBLE 20$ dollar ones I find online? lol

Thanks!

I can't recall anyone doing Bilbo's costume.
but you need a lot more information (decisions decisions).

-Bugdet?
How much are you willing to spent is it a low budget project or don't the costs matter?

-Expertise?
What can and want you to do yourself?

-Which costume?
Bilbo has various costumes in different scene's like: His 111th Birthday, his stay in Rivendale etc. maybe some picture referring which outfit can help us help you.

-Hobbit Feet!
Always a good question, are you looking to buy or to make them? of so, how are you planning to make them?

My general advice is look good at the making of LOTR DVD's I have them myself and there is a lot of good information there. also a lot more detail are visable there then in the actual movies.. Screenshots in this thread can help us to get a clear picture of what you want to achieve.

In general I'd say you gather cloth that looks alike (maybe Dye yourself)
then find simular patterns adjest then to your size and to match Bilbo's custome.

Some sewing... et voila. that is if you can sew yourself.

Cosplay.com has good links to Wigs.
and Where to find "________ " ; Help Topic! - Cosplay.com on their forums have a lot of recourses on a lot of materials.

Also I know that the Weta Workshop made most of the LOTR props.
Weta Workshop
Maybe you can find information there
